General trading is Dubai’s most expensive single activity. The DED charges a special AED 15,000 activity fee on top of the base license. Total government fees for general trading typically reach AED 29,000–35,000 — before rent and visas.

If you don’t need to trade in unrestricted product categories, pick a specific trading activity instead. “Wholesale of Computer Systems” costs the standard AED 8,000 base. “General Trading” costs AED 15,000 extra for the flexibility.
